I am a Post-Doc researcher at the University of Pisa currently working in the EU-funded GRANULAR project. One of my main tasks in this project is to coordinate the work of different territorial Living Labs aiming to involve rural actors in the elaboration of innovative local policies based on local needs.

Previously, I have worked at the Free University of Bolzano with a research on the trajectories of generational renewal in agriculture and transition to multifunctionality in the Italian Inner Areas. In 2020, I completed my Ph.D. in Rural Sociology at the Agrisystem Doctoral School of the Catholic University of Piacenza with a thesis focused on the analysis of the impact of quinoa production on the local land tenure system, agricultural labor organization, and food security levels in the Bolivian Southern Highlands. During the PhD, I was a visiting Ph.D. fellow at the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) in La Paz as well as well as at the Universities of Wageningen and Lleida. I also volunteered in rural development projects in the Andean region and Caribbean.
